I would like to thank the family & staff of Rainy Lake Houseboats for making sure our trip aboard The Lady of the Lake in July 2007 was a vacation we will take with us always.
From the moment we arrived on your property, there were no doubts we were now part of a first class operation. As first time house boaters, we had some smiling, but slightly apprehensive faces in our family. All the care your staff provided in making sure we were comfortable with the operation of the houseboat, as well as explaining exactly how to navigate using your supplied laminated charts made all worries fade away.
The care God took in creating Rainy Lake and Voyageurs National Park was not lost on us as we enjoyed fantastic mid-lake reef walleye fishing, spectacular sunsets, clear water for swimming, and the sound of waves gently lapping at our hull as we all slept in comfort. Every site you recommended for "shoring-up" at night turned out to be beautiful as well.
As a fisherman, my favorite moment came when my mother at 75 years young mentioned "I don't know if I can reel up another!" as she fought yet another 23" plus walleye. I could drone on and on, but instead I've included a video story of our trip for all of you to enjoy ... after all, pictures can say a thousand words.
